MDF (Manic Depression Fellowship), the BiPolar Organisation, is a user-led mental health charity which works to enable people affected by bipolar disorder (manic depression) to take control of their lives. The Organisation's expertise is rooted in the personal experience of their members: people with the diagnosis and their families and friends.

MDF the BiPolar Organisation Cymru is a regional office of the main organisation and is situated in Newport, South Wales. They have a growing network of self-help groups and work closely with other mental health organisations to represent the needs of those affected by mental health problems. They run conferences and regional meetings and are regularly consulted by health and medical professionals to give lectures and talks. Their newsletter 'Pendil' is circulated to people throughout Wales affected by bipolar disorder, as well as mental health professionals and organisations.

They have information on a wide range of aspects of bipolar disorder and provide a range of services for their members from legal and debt advice, through their 24-hour Legal Advice Line, to Self-Management Training courses.
