The United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF) is a not-for-profit coalition of organisations and individuals that seeks to promote understanding of all aspects of acquired brain injury and to provide information and expert input to policy makers and others to promote the interests of brain injured people and their families.
The Forum encourages the development of good practice by setting up working parties and conferences to discuss any aspect of acquired brain injury. The Forum addresses prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, health, social welfare, education, housing, vocational and occupational work, financial, legal, civil rights, ethnic and other issues in which brain injured people and their carers require representation. It has direct access to the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) concerned with brain injury.
The authors and editors of this article are employed to create accurate and up to date content reflecting reliable research evidence, guidance and best clinical practice. They are free from any commercial conflicts of interest.
