ACAPS was set up in 1977. Since then it has developed to provide education, information and advice about the misuse of alcohol and other drugs. A free counselling service is provided for:
- Anyone living in the Borough of Lewisham
- People can be seen for counselling from other boroughs for a nominal fee of £30.00.
- People who identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual within Greater London
