Carers Northern Ireland (formerly the Carers National Association of Northern Ireland) helps carers speak with a stronger voice by offering support and information to anyone caring for a sick, disabled, elderly relative or friend. It is involved in the following activities.
- Providing information and advice on all aspects of caring to both carers and professionals. Carers Northern Ireland handles thousands of enquiries via the CarersLine (number above.)
- The network of offices, branches and individuals offers support to carers and provides vital feedback on local practices and policies towards carers.
- Campaigning at all levels of national and local government and with service providers to ensure that action is taken to support carers.
- Publishes Caring, a bi-monthly magazine for members which contains a mixture of news, information, campaign updates and features of general interest to carers.
Contact the CarersLine for details of membership, local branches or other enquiries.
