The Blood Pressure Association (BPA) is the UK's blood pressure charity which provides practical information for people with high blood pressure to help them lower their blood pressure for life. The Association provides the following services:

  • Information: A range of information materials is available covering the main aspects of managing hypertension, medications, lifestyle changes, blood pressure measurement and other risk factors. Information is available in large print on request and in a variety of languages (Hindi, Punjabi, Gujerati, Hindi and Welsh).
  • Website: This gives immediate access to information about high blood pressure and details of BPA's activities and how to get involved.
  • Membership: Membership of the BPA is free. All members receive an information pack which provides comprehensive information on the main aspects of high blood pressure.
  • Subscription to Positive Pressure. This full colour magazine, produced four times per year, gives readers the facts they need to make informed choices and lower their blood pressure for life.
  • Annual national BPA blood pressure testing week - "Know Your Numbers" - every September.
