Midland Fertility Services (MFS) was established in 1987 and is licensed by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority to offer a range of fertility treatments and procedures including IUI, IVF, ICSI, egg donation, sperm recovery and preservation, embryo freezing and egg freezing for female fertility preservation. Based in Aldridge, West Midlands, MFS treats both private and NHS patients, via contracts with eight Midlands' PCTs and, for egg freezing for young cancer patients, with other PCTs on an extra contractual referral (ECR) basis. Around 5,000 babies have been born following treatment at MFS, including the UK's first & only, seven 'frozen egg' babies.
