Rescue Emergency Care was originally founded by specialist doctors working in remote healthcare. It involves professionals who have a high regard for the need to produce high quality first aid training and who aim to introduce systematic, practical training to a national standard. The organization has the following aims:

  • To provide first aid training in accordance with the HSE approved code of practice for first aid at work.
  • To give confidence in dealing with first aid emergencies.
  • To introduce candidates to a first aid training programme which is innovative, practical and fun to learn.
  • To give opportunities for individuals to progress through the scheme to Instructor level.

REC offers a range of courses including: Basic First Aid; HSE First Aider at Work; and Expedition First Aid. Contact the company for an information pack on courses.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
