SEBDA support those who work with young people with social, emotional, behavioural difficulties.
SEBDA (formerly AWCEBD) exists to promote excellence in services for children and young people who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and to support those who work with them.
SEBDA has been active for over 50 years.
SEBDA members receive copies of their international journal "Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties" and their Newsletter SEBDA news as well as access to their distance education accredited courses and professional development days.
SEBDA is concerned with children and young people of all ages in whatever setting their special need is found.
SEBDA is multi-professional, fostering the mutual understanding amongst the different professional groups essential to effective work. It supports workers in schools, mainstream or special, day or residential, Maintained, Non Maintained or Independent; in Social Service units, field or residential; in voluntary societies and Health settings.
