Parent Lifeline is a registered charity, founded in 1978 as a telephone helpline for parents. The charity offers emotional support and understanding to parents under stress of any kind, whatever the ages of their children. Features of the service are as follows:

  • Volunteers answering calls are parents who have undergone training.
  • Callers may remain anonymous if preferred.
  • Parents can be put in touch with further sources of help if appropriate.

Additional services are available locally, including: face-to-face appointments, parenting courses, talks to local groups. Contact the above number for further information on these.
