Happy Days is a registered charity that provides special holidays and day trips for children who suffer from severe illnesses and disabilities, or who have extenuating circumstances. Children are referred to the charity for a number of reasons including: disability, following major surgery, or as victims of abuse. The charity provides leisure activities for children aged 3-17 with mental, physical or learning disability or who are victims of abuse.

Happy Days aims to help and educate young people through their leisure time and holiday activities, so to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and that their conditions of life may be improved. Contact the above address for further details, including referral procedure.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
