Crossroads (Scotland) is a national organisation established in 1978 aiming to reduce the stress of caring by providing a break from the caring routine. Every scheme provides practical support where and when it is most needed - usually in the home. There are now 48 local schemes providing over one million hours of care and short breaks for Scotland's carers.
Crossroads schemes are governed by local volunteers who employ care staff to provide high quality care in the family home.
