The Arts Dyslexia Trust is a charity with the following aims.
- To draw attention to the high creative potential of the many visually-dominant dyslexic minds.
- To help to bridge the gulf of misunderstanding that often exists between those who think most easily in words and those who those who prefer to think visually.
- To encourage research into the reasons for the connection between dyslexia and good visual-spatial faculties which can lead to exceptional ability and achievement in the arts and sciences.
The Trust wants to persuade more people to appreciate the importance of visual-spatial thinking in every creative activity, and to use their own visual-spatial thinking capacity more effectively. The Trust's website is currently under construction but will include information on the following.
