The purpose of the charity:

  • To provide advice, support and guidance to anyone suffering from addictions or dependencies and to those involved in their care.
  • To educate health professionals and others working with people with drug and alcohol problems in the methods and practices for the prevention of, and recovery from, addictions and dependencies on alcohol and other drugs, both legal and illegal.
  • To promote or assist in the teaching or training of anyone engaged in the care or treatment of people with addiction or dependency problems.
  • To conduct and promote research into the care and treatment of people with addiction or dependency problems and disseminate these findings.
