Homeshare is a charity that provides low-cost, high calibre care and support to individuals who need help at home with everyday living. Homeshare helps relive the impact of illness, disability, ageing, and loneliness.

Homeshare is based on the principle of exchange; the "Householder" gives accommodation and the individual sharing the home, the "Homesharer" gives companionship and assistance with practical help around the home. In some circumstances, the needs of the Householder are far grater than what Homeshare can provide alone, in this situation, Homeshare can form as part of a care package in conjunction with other agencies and health professionals. The scheme is a very flexible concept that can meet many needs and is adaptable to a variety of circumstances.

Homeshare operates in London and has approved provider status with several London Boroughs. Please contact the above address for further information.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
