YWCA is a leading charity working with the most disadvantaged young women in England and Wales.

YWCA offers more than 140 programmes to girls and young women aged 11 to 30 across England and Wales. From the safety of their 13 women-only centres they offer support, information and the opportunity to learn new things. They help them to challenge violence or abuse and improve their health and self-esteem.

YWCA provides:

  • Education opportunities, some leading to qualifications.
  • Information and counselling.
  • Residential experiences.
  • Outdoor education, including the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme.
  • Volunteering.
  • Campaigning.
  • Help for young women in and leaving the criminal justice system.
  • Physical and mental health information and education.
  • Support for young pregnant women and young mums.
  • Outreach services, working with young women where they are and on their terms.
  • Creches so that young women can take part in activities, safe in the knowledge that their children are well cared for.
