AFAA principally offers post-adoption support to families who have adopted children from abroad. The following services are offered:
- Support via other parents and parent groups
- Telephone helpline (number above)
- Members' newsletter, three times a year
- Information booklets on adoption issues, for sale
Although support is mainly for post-adoption, the Association does have affiliation with other organisations involved in the adoption process and has affiliate membership for those contemplating inter-country adoption.
