The Pierpoint Group, established in 1988, is based in the sea-side resort of St. Annes-on-Sea in Lancashire. It comprises three units set up to provide intervention through assessment, detoxification, treatment and rehabilitation for adults who have drug and/or alcohol addictions. A modular rehabilitation programme has been designed to provide a variety of options in order to suit a person's individual needs. Their aim is to support people in moving towards and ultimately into independence and re-integration with family, the work-place, community and society in general

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
