3H Fund is a charity that makes it possible for disabled people, children and adults, to have memorable and fulfilling holidays. Features of the charity are as follows:

  • All holiday helpers are volunteers.
  • During group holidays, their aim is to build up confidence levels which can lead to greater independence.
  • While a disabled person is on holiday, the regular family carer has a rare opportunity to take a separate break.

Each year there are six group holidays - one abroad and five in the UK.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
