18 Plus groups are social groups for 18-35 year-olds run for the members by the members. A wide range of activities is pursued to encourage members to participate socially and to develop their own social and personal skills by helping to organise events. The emphasis is for all members to have an enjoyable, active social life within a structure designed to nurture and help develop members who are willing to realise the opportunities offered by 18 Plus.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
