Age Concern Cymru aims to further the welfare of the elderly. The organisation has the following four primary objectives:

  • To promote public awareness of issues on ageing and positive attitudes towards older people.
  • To ensure that the public policy anticipates and meets the needs of older people.
  • To ensure that sufficient and relevant services of the highest standard are available to meet older people's needs.
  • To maximise older people's opportunities for self-determination and participation.

Membership is open to all individuals concerned with the needs of older people, who are in sympathy with Age Concern's aims and objectives. Other services offered by Age Concern Cymru include the following:

  • Specialist library on all aspects of old age.
  • Publications are available in English and Welsh.
  • Website containing all the latest news, press releases, and complete list of all information materials to download.
