The Scottish Spina Bifida Association (SSBA) is a registered Scottish charity which for over 40 years has been directly helping thousands of children, young people and adults, their families and carers affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.
The Association offers support by:
- Providing direct contact with an experienced Direct Services Team
- Offering specialist advice to suit personal circumstances
- Providing intensive support where necessary
- Visiting you at home
- Providing information leaflets and publications
- Inviting you to information and training days
- Offering access to social and leisure groups
- Networking with other service users
- Accompanying you to appointments
- Their attendance at the 'combined' spina bifida clinics at the children's hospitals in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Yorkhill (Glasgow)
- Access to the healthy living project and telemedicine clinic
