The Scottish Spina Bifida Association (SSBA) is a registered Scottish charity which for over 40 years has been directly helping thousands of children, young people and adults, their families and carers affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.

The Association offers support by:

• Providing direct contact with an experienced Direct Services Team
• Offering specialist advice to suit personal circumstances
• Providing intensive support where necessary
• Visiting you at home
• Providing information leaflets and publications
• Inviting you to information and training days
• Offering access to social and leisure groups
• Networking with other service users
• Accompanying you to appointments
• Family support co-ordinators attend the combined spina bifida clinics at the children's hospitals in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Yorkhill (Glasgow) and Dundee
• Access to the healthy living project and telemedicine clinic
• Teenager befriending service and youth club
• Hydrocephalus Focus Project
