The National Council for the Divorced and Separated (NCDS) is a voluntary organization whose prime aim is to promote an active social life for its members - all of whom are divorced or separated. There are many NCDS branches throughout the British Isles and the organization aims to have a branch in every major town. Features of the NCDS' social clubs include the following.
- Opportunity for a new beginning.
- Chance to form new friendships with members of both sexes.
- Membership open to all age groups of divorced and separated people.
- Each branch organises its own entertainment and events.
- Numerous social functions to enjoy.
Divorced or separated people can join the NCDS for a small annual fee. There are small admission charges to most social events. Members receive NCDS News, a quarterly publication. The NCDS also has a charitable arm, The NCDS Trust, as the organization also aims to give general help and support to divorced and separated people. Further details are available from the address above. The NCDS is not connected with any marriage bureau.
