The National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED), established in 1984, provides counselling solutions for all the eating disorders, including binge eating, yo-yo dieting, bulimia, fear of eating and anorexia. They also provide training courses for health professionals working with eating disorders and help and support for the carers and friends of people with eating distress.

Their network of therapists can provide personal, telephone, group and email therapy for eating disorders and obesity. The first step is always to have a personal confidential assessment with one of the counsellors.

Deanne Jade, a psychologist and founder of the NCFED has specialised for many years in the treatment of eating disorders and obesity. The NCFED also has a team of experts with specialist training in different aspects of eating disorders, and a national network of counsellor practitioners who are specially trained to work with eating disorders and weight problems.
