The International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) is an organisation for professional aromatherapists and an independent representative body for the profession of aromatherapy. The IFA is a self-governing body with an official code of ethics and practice to which members must adhere. This ensures that standards and quality of practice are adhered to by all its professional practitioners. Seeking advice from a full member of the IFA will ensure that the therapist consulted has been trained to the highest professional standard.

Details of IFA practitioners can be obtained from the address above (SAE required). The IFA is also involved in professional training, research and publishes the regular magazine Aromatherapy Times.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
