Disability Equipment Register

4 Chatterton Road
Yate
Bristol
BS37 4BJ

Web: www.disabilityequipment.org.uk

The Disability Equipment Register (DER) is a database of specialist equipment which is either for sale or wanted by a disabled person or members of a disabled person's family. Now an internet-only based service, all files are published online with contact numbers for direct one-to-one buying and selling. Each list contains advertisements for equipment available or wanted and a contact telephone number.

Examples of equipment for sale and wanted include: bathroom equipment, children's equipment, furniture, beds, hoists, lifts, scooters, cars, vans and wheelchairs. The DER does not become involved with the sale or purchase of items. All negotiation is done directly between the buyer and seller. The DER does not buy and sell any equipment.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
