CACDP is a registered charity which exists to provide knowledge and recognise skills in the languages and communication methods used by deaf people.

A UK awarding body accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority offering a wide range of high quality qualifications in British Sign Language and other forms of communication used by deaf and deafblind people. In addition, they conduct the selection, training and monitoring of assessors.

CACDP promotes the importance of professional standards and working practices amongst those offering linguistic access services. They maintain a register of qualified and trainee interpreters and publish a national directory of Sign Language Interpreters, Lipspeakers and Interpreters for deafblind people.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.
