Care of the Next Infant (CONI) is facilitated by the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID).
The CONI programme exists to help NHS community health and hospital services provide integrated care for families with any infants born following a cot death and for other groups of vulnerable babies or anxious parents. The clinical care of the baby and the family remain the responsibility of local services, while FSID fund central services making training, information packs and advice available as well as conducting national audit.
