The Torch Trust for the Blind is a voluntary non-denominational Christian charity which responds to the practical needs of visually impaired people, provides Christian literature and fellowship for them and seeks to help churches of all types to fully include visually impaired people.

Literature is produced in Braille, giant print (24pt), audio cassette and electronic media. Torch publishes six magazines, produces Bibles, hymn books, Scripture text calendars, tactile greeting cards, books and booklets, and operates a large free postal library of Christian books in accessible media.

Fellowship is encouraged through Torch Fellowship Groups, around 130 of which meet on a informal monthly basis UK wide, and through a programme of holidays and houseparties at their Holiday and Retreat Centre in Sussex. Torch offers a varied programme of holidays to suit young and old, runs houseparties at Christian conventions, and organises holidays abroad too.

Torch is an international ministry, and is in touch with blind people in over 90 countries of the world.
