Sexaholics Anonymous (SA) operates a programme of recovery for those who want to stop their sexually self-destructive thinking and behaviour. SA is a recovery program based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and received permission from AA to use its Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions in 1979. Sexaholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover.

Sexaholics Anonymous was started by those who found that the 12 step programme was the instrument of their recovery when nothing else worked. Coming from all walks of life, members are united by their common problem. Meeting regularly, talking and helping other sexaholics together, members are able to stop acting out and to lose the obsession. Those who identify with this problem are invited to join in fellowship. Anyone who turns to SA can be assured that their anonymity will be protected.

  • The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop lusting and become sexually sober. There are no fees for SA membership. The organisation is self-supporting through its own membership.
  • SA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution. It does not wish to engage in any controversy and neither endorses nor opposes any causes.
  • SA's primary purpose is to stay sexually sober and help others achieve sexual sobriety.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
