AIDS Care Education and Training Ltd (ACET) international is a global network of independent agencies and church-based organisations seeking to encourage effective and compassionate Christian responses to AIDS and related issues in every nation.

ACET was originally established as a registered charity and a limited company in the UK in 1988 by Dr Patrick Dixon as a Christian response to the challenge of HIV & AIDS. ACET began in Scotland and England as a rapidly growing number of care and prevention programmes which then extended rapidly across the UK, and from 1990 onwards in other countries.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
