Homeopathic treatment may be used to treat many common acute and chronic conditions. Homeopathic remedies come from a wide variety of sources - mineral, herbal and organic - and are diluted and vigorously shaken many times over. The remedies usually take the form of a pill, either given as one single dose or a daily repeated dose for a specified length of time, depending on the potency. The individual person, rather that the disease or symptoms, is treated so a detailed health history is taken and later analysed in order to select the correct remedy for that person. The first consultation can take up to one and a half hours.

The Society can supply further information on homeopathy and a copy of the Register of the Society of Homeopaths which will list registered homeopaths in your local area.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
