The PBC Foundation (Primary Biliary Cirrhosis Foundation) is a UK charity, established to provide help, support and information for sufferers of primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), their families and friends. Information comes from a team of medical advisors who are top PBC specialists in the UK, also from the Foundation's information booklet and a quarterly newsletter 'The Bear Facts'. The Foundation's aims are not only to educate those affected by PBC, but also the general public and general medical profession.
There are 40 regional co-ordinators throughout Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland who supply help and support at a local level. These co-ordinators also provide telephone helplines and many organise events to keep in touch with members and raise money for the Foundation. Further information about the services provided by the Foundation can be obtained from the above address.
