The British Dental Foundation is a national charity that has 30 years' experience promoting the benefits of good oral health to the public. It runs a free consumer dental helpline that is operated by a qualified dental team who provide free independent and impartial advice on all aspects of oral health. They reply in person to the general public's enquiries by phone, email and letter.

Free patient information literature is available on a wide range of topics such as finding a dentist, gum disease, oral cancer and patient's rights. See above for how to contact the helpline. Confidential email replies will be sent within two working days to enquiries via the online service.
