The Encephalitis Society provides information and support to people affected by encephalitis, their families and carers. They offer a linking scheme to members and organise meetings so mutual experiences can be shared. They raise awareness to the general public through an annual awareness week and to professionals through the provision of workshops, training programmes and conferences. They encourage research into all aspects of the condition. They are involved at national level to improve service for people with a brain injury.
