The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) is the national organisation for specific learning difficulties and represents over two million children and adults with dyslexia. The BDA is made up of over 100 local dyslexia associations and has links with over 30 support groups. - Education by working with schools and local authorities, and by providing a range of publications.
- Information and advice to adults including students in further and higher education and employment training.
- Influencing public policy and provision.
- Help and advisory services: helpline (number above) which handles enquiries; befrienders who can enable parents to get the right help for their child; computer advice service to maximise benefits that computers and educational software can offer; publications; conferences and exhibitions.
- Parent/Awareness Information.
- Subscribers to the mailing list receive regular information on the latest news and developments in the world of dyslexia.
