RNIB National Library Service is a registered charity and a leading agency in the provision of library and information services for visually impaired people.

They house a large collection of tactile books and provide a free postal library service to blind and partially sighted people worldwide.

They offer a range of exciting, innovative library and information services through their website. This includes access to their catalogue and links to general and specialist information of interest to visually impaired people, their families and anyone with an interest in visual impairment.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
