PSC (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis) Support is an international group for sufferers of primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) together with their friends and family. The group's three main objectives are:
- To provide information about the disease.
- To provide a means for PSC sufferers and their families to make contact with others affected by this illness.
- To support patients with their medical and related problems.
PSC Support is involved in the following activities.
- The group's newsletter is produced four times a year and provides research news about PSC and liver disease and articles about dealing with the symptoms of PSC. It is also a means of communication between members.
- Through the group, the members are able to make contact with other sufferers if they wish, through group meetings or by use of a telephone directory of members who wish to get in touch with other members.
- Annual meeting in June/July at the Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford where a leading specialist offers updates.
