The British Acupuncture Council is is a main regulatory body for the practice of acupuncture. It has over 2800 members.

  • Members of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) have completed three years in full time training in traditional acupuncture, and bio medical sciences appropriate to the practise of acupuncture. They have the letters MBAcC after their name.
  • The BAcC maintains high standards of education, ethics, discipline and practice to ensure the health and safety of the public at all times.
  • Members are covered by Medical Malpractice and Public/Products Liability insurance.
  • Complies with Health and Safety legislation.
  • Is approved by the National Blood Service.

A Register of Practitioner Members is published annually. A copy can be obtained by application for a small fee. Alternatively, a list of local practitioner members of the BAcC can be posted free of charge or obtained from the website.
