The British Cardiac Patients Association is dedicated to the care of cardiac (heart) patients, their families, and all who care for them. Heart patients, their families and carers may find investigations or treatments difficult to understand and hard to accept. It can be a relief to share thoughts and concerns with people who have successfully passed through similar anxieties and problems. Membership is open to all cardiac patients, their carers, and anyone wishing to support the organisation's aims. Contact the above address or visit the website for further details.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
