Marriage Care is the operational name of the charity formerly known as Catholic Marriage Advisory Council. The organisation cares for marriage. It offers courses to people preparing for marriage and provides a professional counselling service. Marriage Care counsellors are professionally trained and see clients as a couple or separately. Marriage Care can offer the following.

  • Counselling to anyone with a relationship problem.
  • Confidentiality, acceptance and support.
  • Help to people to look at their lives, explore choices, and acquire skills to cope.
  • A nationwide service which is free, but which welcomes contributions towards its costs.
  • Marriage preparation courses.
  • Relationship education in schools.
  • Telephone helpline.
