The Meningitis Research Foundation is a national registered charity whose vision is a world free from meningitis and septicaemia. The Foundation is fighting death and disability from meningitis and septicaemia, and supports people affected by these diseases.

The Foundation funds vital scientific research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of meningitis and septicaemia, raises awareness of the diseases, and offers support through in-depth information and befriending. The Foundation produces symptoms' literature for the general public, and information for health professionals. Symptoms' information is available in 22 different languages in written and sound formats on the Foundation's website, and an interpretation service is provided through the helpline in 120 languages.

The Meningitis Research Foundation covers the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
