The fpa is a voluntary organisation whose aim is to advance the sexual health and reproductive rights and choices of all people throughout the UK. The fpa provides a national service in the UK providing information, training, research and publications. The following services are provided.
- A national helpline and information service for the public and professionals. Handling over 100,000 enquiries a year, it provides information on contraception and sexual health including information on service provision in the UK. Enquirers may also write for information.
- Consumer tested leaflets and publications on contraception and sexual health are produced for the public and professionals. Fpa Direct (Tel. no. above) offers a complete mail order service. Extensive stock includes books, videos and resources on contraception, sexual health and sex education. Contact the number above for details.
- A reference library holding all the major journals and publications on contraception and sexual health is available by appointment.
