The British Lung Foundation's Breathe Easy network provides support and information for people living with a lung condition, and for those who look after them. People with lung conditions and those who care for them can often feel alone. Making friends is important for people living with lung disease and Breath Easy provides an opportunity for that to happen. The network includes groups that meet in many different towns and cities in the UK.
Services for members include the following:
- Opportunity to find mutual support, help and friendship.
- Regular meetings with a wide variety of speakers, social events and outings.
- Opportunity to raise awareness of lung disease through annual events.
- Free information on lung conditions.
- Access to the helpline which offers expert and confidential advice from respiratory and paediatric nurses.
- Pen-pals scheme to help put you in touch with others in a similar situation.
- Fundraising and opportunity to support and influence British Lung Foundation's campaigns.
- Website with information about Breathe Easy in your area.
