SANDS is working to support bereaved parents and families, and to press for improvements in care during pregnancy and when a baby has died. The key elements of that support are the following:
- National telephone helpline service.
- UK-wide network of local self-help groups run by and for bereaved parents.
- Information and Publications for bereaved parents and healthcare professionals.
- Online support forum.
The authors and editors of this article are employed to create accurate and up to date content reflecting reliable research evidence, guidance and best clinical practice. They are free from any commercial conflicts of interest. Find out more about updating.
