The National Society for Epilepsy (NSE) is a UK epilepsy charity. NSE's mission is to enhance the quality of life for people affected by epilepsy by promoting research, education and public awareness, and by delivering specialist medical care and support services.

NSE provides the following services:

  • The largest NHS outpatient clinics in the country with the latest diagnostic facilities.
  • The foremost epilepsy assessment and treatment centre of its kind in Europe including a dedicated MRI scanner.
  • Residential and respite care supplemented by a variety of learning, skills and therapeutic services provided by expert staff.
  • Supported housing and supported living projects.
  • Training programmes tailor made for professionals, employers and individuals covering all aspects of epilepsy.
  • The Epilepsy Information Network (EIN), providing information resources at a local level in healthcare settings throughout the UK.
  • The Schools' Awareness Programme covering key objectives in the National Curriculum, for Key Stage 3 PSHE students.
  • A confidential caller led helpline.
  • Information resources including leaflets, DVDs, CDs, videos and posters for professionals and individuals.
