They offer support and advice to children and adults affected by neuromuscular conditions, their families and those caring for them. The information and support line provides information over the telephone, by fax, letter and email. There are also local branches that provide support and fundraise. MDC funds high-calibre research which contributes significantly to major global research advances in neuromuscular conditions each year.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
