The Huntington's Disease Association (HDA) aims to provide support, advice and information to people affected by and at risk of Huntington's disease, carers, family members and professionals working in this area.

The HDA employ a number of regional care advisers in England and Wales (the Scottish Huntington's Association operate similarly in Scotland) to facilitate their case policy of care, advice, support and education. The HDA produce information leaflets regarding Huntington's disease, for those involved with Huntington's disease and have the support of local branches throughout the country. The Association's newsletter is produced twice a year with conferences and awareness raising events being organised on a regular basis. Contact the London office above for details of local branches.

PS - Health and Poverty

Perhaps the biggest cause of ill health in the world is poverty. Help to Make Poverty History. For example, why not lend some of your money to disadvantaged communities to enable them to trade their way out of poverty through schemes such as Shared Interest.

See also MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY North East for details and links to campaigns against poverty.
