One Parent Families / Gingerbread provides free independent, confidential information and advice, and publications for lone parents on benefits, money, legal rights, work, education and maintenance. The website is linked to a 24-hour helpdesk, and callers can be signposted to other organisations and groups in their local area.

Advice workers are available with advice sessions operating every day. The helpline will let you know the times of the advice sessions. Every caller to the Lone Parent Helpline is treated as an individual and their help is tailored as much as possible to fit their needs.
