Foresight (the Association for the Promotion of Preconceptual Care) was formed in 1978 with a dual objective:
Firstly to safeguard the health of the unborn child by promoting preconception care.
Secondly, to promote the study of aspects of the environment upon preconception health.
Preparation for pregnancy can do much to ensure the safety of the future child by optimizing the health of both parents before conception. This maximizes the chances of a healthy sperm, ova and uterus, and thus pregnancy, and the birth of a healthy baby.
Foresight has worked since 1978 to put together and use a thoroughly researched preconception programme. The organisation will provide information on nutrition, natural family planning, advice on smoking, alcohol, cannabis and other street drugs, allergy, parasites, testing for genitourinary disease, individual mineral testing and supplementation programme, and testing for electromagnetic pollution. They can arrange a geophysical survey at your home to help eliminate electromagnetic pollution. Books, booklets, leaflets, posters and a video or DVD are available. Meetings take place for the general public and for practitioners. There are newsletters for members - the membership fee is £35.00 per annum (correct Dec 2007). Please send a stamped addressed envelope (C5) for further information, or visit their website.
The Foresight Resource Centre supplies the literature, video/DVD, and specialized supplements by mail order. Contact 01243 868 001 for a price list and order form.
